As WP4 leader he will be responsible for timely delivering of the results of the task described in WP4. FLI and will be involved in the daily management of WP4. Dr. Gilbert is a Director of FLI and holds an MSc in food science and a PhD in analytical chemistry. He spent 15 years as Research Director for CSL (York, UK), managing a scientific staff of 250 with responsibility for developing a research portfolio of Government, EU and private sector projects including a substantial programme on mycotoxins. He has experience of co-ordinating EU projects, providing UK input to DG Research and working closely with DG SANCO. He has served on the EFSA CONTAM and ANS Panels. He has published 80 papers on mycotoxins. Currently he utilises his wide-ranging experience to support food industry customers extensively in Europe and Asia providing seminars and training in food safety.
