Dr. Wang Jinquan will supervise the in vivo detoxification experiments at the Feed Research Institute of CAAS and will evaluate mycotoxin adsorbents and the detoxifiers from the feeding trials in dairy cows and pigs that will be conducted at the research facilities of the CAAS-FRI WP2. The study will be based on the guidelines and guidances established in the EU. This knowledge will be used to assess the efficacy of mycotoxin detoxifying feed additives under local Chinese conditions in WP4. Dr. Wang received his Bachelor degree in Animal Husbandry and Nutrition in 1997, his Master’s degree in Animal Nutrition in 2000 from the Shenyang Agricultural University, Shenyang, Liaoning, P.R. China. He received his PhD on Animal Nutrition and feed sciences in 2004 from the Department of the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Beijing, P.R. China. Dr Wang is Director of the Laboratory for the evaluation of mycotoxin adsorbent & detoxifiers in the Feed Research Institute of CAAS since 2008. Dr. Wang is Associate Professor in Animal Nutrition. He was visiting scholar for one year (2007) at the University of Guelph (Canada), where he worked on poultry nutrition, in close cooperation with the Food Research Center of Agri- and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC). Before, he worked for six years at the Feed Research Institute of CAAS.
