To increase public awareness of MyToolBox project and to facilitate discussion with stakeholders, Foodlife International had a presence at the International food exhibition, “WorldFood” in Istanbul. This was found to be an effective tool to meet interested parties and to distribute a flyer drawing attention to the specific project activities involving silo management, milling of grain, electronic sorting and bioethanol production.
The exhibition took place at TUYAP/Istanbul at which over the four days there were 500 exhibitors from 45 countries, a total of 16,085 visitors of which 2700 were international. This exhibition has taken place annually for the past 27 years and offers a good platform, for those firms who want to increase sales, promote their products and attract new clients by making direct contact with a large number of representatives from retail chains and wholesale businesses interested in purchasing food products. The other Turkish partner in the MyToolBox project TARİS was also represented at this exhibition with two large booths displaying their activities in the area of dried figs.
